
Allison brings a deep understanding of the organization’s mission and a long-standing commitment to serving vulnerable communities. She has served as Interim Executive Director since November 2024 and brings more than 14 years of dedicated service and leadership at CCCTX to her role as Executive Director.
“It’s an honor to lead this organization which has been my home for more than 14 years. I’ve seen firsthand how lives are transformed when people of faith step forward to serve those in need,” said Allison. “I’m committed to ensuring that Catholic Charities of Central Texas continues to live out our faith calling to bring hope to our neighbors in their time of greatest need.”
Allison has served in many areas of the organization including program operations, parish engagement, and mission advancement. Allison’s passion for the mission, combined with her long history at the agency, gives her a comprehensive vision on how to drive CCCTX forward and best serve the needs of our community.
“Allison leads with strength, compassion, and a clear sense of purpose,” said Pat Macy, CCCTX Board President. “During her time as interim executive director, she provided steady guidance through an important season of transition and growth. The board has full trust in her leadership and admiration for the heart she brings to this important work. We are honored to support her as she steps into this role.”
Allison holds an Executive Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Her professional expertise is matched by a personal commitment to the mission, rooted in her Catholic faith. Allison is a dedicated parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church in Austin, where she serves in parish ministries such as Mobile Loaves & Fishes, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and the Parish Development Council.
“Allison has been at the heart of this ministry for many years and has a sincere love for those it serves,” said Very Rev. James A. Misko, Diocesan Administrator for the Diocese of Austin. “Her strong faith is evident in her leadership, and it’s clear that this role is more than a job for Allison—it’s a vocation. I have great confidence in her and give thanks for the stability, care, and hope she brings to this new chapter for CCCTX.”
As Executive Director, Allison will oversee operations, build meaningful connections in the Central Texas community, and work to strengthen and advance the CCCTX mission.

A native of Clyde, Texas, Allison Cavazos brings over 14 years of dedicated service and leadership at Catholic Charities of Central Texas to her role as Executive Director. Allison and her husband Robert have been married since 2013 and share a love for faith, family, and community. In her free time, Allison enjoys cheering on the Texas A&M football team and playing saxophone in the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble.
