SPECIAL ASSISTANCE FOR AFGHAN REFUGEES
Catholic Charities of Central Texas is aware of the evolving situation in Afghanistan. Currently, persons attempting to leave Afghanistan without an immigration status (such as permanent residents and citizens) must first file the appropriate legal paperwork before they are permitted to travel to and enter the United States.
Our Immigration Legal Services program is offering affordable legal support for Afghan refugees. If you live in Central Texas and have a family member in need of legal support to obtain proper documentation to enter the United States, please send an email directly to ils-reception@ccctx.org.
DACA CONSULTATIONS
DACA CONSULTATIONS
Due to a recent Federal Court decision, new DACA applications are currently not being accepted by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) as of July 16, 2021. To comply with federal regulations, Catholic Charities is unable to assist with initial DACA applications at this time.
If you have already begun an initial DACA application with Catholic Charities, please contact your legal assistant or attorney directly to discuss your options.
If you already have a DACA renewal case with Catholic Charities or plan to renew soon, USCIS is still accepting these applications. This will not affect you and you can continue your case with Catholic Charities.
We will continue to update you on the status these federal regulations and our ability to help with your initial DACA consultations in the future.

You give me hope because in these times—when I and others are without work—we would not be able to continue with our immigration cases without your continued help. I want to thank you all for the hope you’ve given me.
